Circulation Counter

The Circulation Desk is located just after the registration counter in the Library on the 2nd floor. Circulation Services strives to provide excellent, efficient, and friendly service to all library patrons.

We check materials out and in, renew loans, manage patron registration, administer course reserves, handle recalls and holds, assist patrons in locating materials, and provide general information about the Library and its services. Daily lost-and-found items in the Library may also be claimed at the Circulation Desk.

Lending Sections

The book stack of this library is 7141 which allows the library members to take the books at home and read leisurely. The students can avail of lending facilities by enrolling as a member by depositing Rs. 50/- for two library cards. The member can then take 2 books for a period of 8 days.

Reading Hall

The Library has a spacious reading hall which is meant for quiet or silent study. The reading hall is equipped with study tables and chairs.

Reference Section

The basic objective of the reference section is to assist the clientele  to use resources of the library in an effective manner leading to their optimum utilization. Reference service is the most intensive kind of personal service which attempts to bring together the user and information in a personal way.

E-Catalogue Section

Here the library patrons can search for the resource and then get the same from the lending section to be issued out. Three computer systems are provided for the same next to the circulation counter.

Digital Section

The digital section is fully airconditioned and equipped with 10 computer systems. The digital section maintains a considerable number of CD’s/DVD’s of ebooks and digitalized content for the use of the library patrons for their academic use. The patrons can also access the cyberlibrary ie. The E-journal packages and other open access resources from this section.

Reprographic Section

This section provides facilities such as scanning, Xeroxing and printing. The section is equipped with a copier machine.

Technical Processing Session

This section is entrusted with the work of classifying, cataloguing, entering on OPAC, barcoding etc. of books acquired by the library.

Periodical Section

The library subscribes for 36 National Print journals which are placed in this section
