ACCESS

The Association for the Confluence of Computer Engineering Students and Senators (ACCESS) was setup in the year 2014 with the aim of providing a platform for the students of the computer engineering department to enhance their academic potential and improve their career prospects. ACCESS was inaugurated on 15th March 2014.Mr. Victor Silveira was the chief guest for the occasion, following which there was a keynote address by the chief guest and a debugging competition conducted by the newly appointed association.

MEGA

Mechanical Engineering Graduates’ Association, an association of the students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at AITD, formally known as MEGA was inaugurated in March 2014. The student council organizes various technical events like expert talks, workshops, field visits for students in order to fulfill the curriculum gaps. It also organizes various technical and non-technical events under TechUrja which is a techno- cultural event of AITD. 

SENCES

The Society of Electronics N Communications Engineering Students (SENCES) the students’ association of Electronics and Communications Engineering department of Agnel Institute of Technology and Design (AITD) was inaugurated on 15th February 2014. This chapter actively organizes technical events like Expert talks, Project exhibition, workshops and Field visits for students in order to fulfil the curriculum gaps.

IET

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) is a Multidisciplinary Professional Engineering Institution. The IET was formed in 2006 from two separate institutions: The Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE), dating back to 1871, and the Institution of Incorporated Engineers (IIE) dating back to 1884. Its worldwide membership is currently in excess of 168,000. The IET’s main offices are in Savoy Place in London, England and at Michael Faraday House in Stevenage, England. The IET is registered as a charity in England and Wales, and in Scotland. The Department of Computer Engineering at Agnel Institute of Technology & Design inaugurated the 1 st ever IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology) Student Chapter in Goa on Monday, 3rd October 2016 in its Institute at Assagao, Goa. The Student Chapter was inaugurated in the distinguished presence of Rev.Fr. Victor Rebello, Director of Agnel Technical Education Complex, Goa, Rev.Fr. Sebastiao Rodrigues, Assistant Director of Agnel Technical Education Complex, Goa, Dr. V. Mariappan, Principal of Agnel Institute of Technology and Design, Mr. Abhishek More, the Chairman of IET Mumbai Local Network, Ms. Durga Jalan, the Secretary of IET Mumbai Local Network and Prof. Terence Johnson, Head of Computer Engineering Department.

ISHRAE

The student’s Chapter “Indian Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers” (ISHRAE) of Agnel Institution of Technology and Design, Assagao installed student council for the academic year on 13/10/2016 in the presence of office bearers of ISHRAE Goa chapter, namely, president, Prakash Naik; Secretary Manoj Pandey; President elect Micheal Martins; Treasurer, Krishna Kulkarni; Membership chair zonal, Hemant Bhandare; Principal AITD, Dr. V. Mariappan; Head of Department, Mechanical, Prof. Niraj Pai Bhale and Faculty advisor, Prof. Nagaraj Raikar.  The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), was founded in 1981 at New Delhi by a group of eminent HVAC&R professionals. ISHRAE today has more than 28,780 HVAC&R professionals and Student-members. ISHRAE operates from 41 Chapters and sub Chapters spread all over India, with HQ in Delhi. It is led by a team of elected officers, who are members of the Society, working on a voluntary basis, and collectively called the Board of Governors. ISHRAE conducts Conferences, Seminars, Exhibitions, Workshops, Panel Discussions and Product Presentations throughout the country with both national and international participants to discuss, promote and display the state of the art technologies, systems, products and services.

IETE

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) founded in 1953 is one of the leading Professional Society in India. With the great vision of founder and subsequent forefathers and stalwarts who were leading light of the Institution IETE, have been devoting and contributing for the advancement of Science and Technology in the fields of Electronics, Communication Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology and other related subjects. The major focus of IETE is to provide engineering education i.e. Degree and Diploma level certifications to younger generation at affordable cost who can not afford it through regular & private engineering institutions at exorbitant cost.  The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineer (IETE) Goa Sub centre inaugurated its IETE Students Forum (ISF) at Agnel Institute of Technology and Design on 12th August 2016. AITD has over 190 students enrolled under ISF. Two faculty members are life time associated membership of IETE. This chapter actively organizes technical events like Expert talks, workshops and Field visits for students’ joint hand with ISTE. It is the part of filling the curriculum gaps.

ROBOCLUB

ROBOCLUB is a student Robotics club, started by Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, AITD on 4th August 2018.  The club objective is to develop interest in the field of Robotics among the student community and inspiring and people to become leaders in Science, Engineering and Technology by providing them knowledge through expert talks, workshops and hands-on engineering challenges with the mentorship of industry professionals. The club also provides workspace and guidance to the students to take part in Robotics projects and competitions. Count of Student members is 110.

GAUG

The Google Developer Groups (GDGs) are for developers who are interested in Google’s developer technology; everything from the Android, App Engine, and Google Chrome platforms, to product APIs like the Maps API, YouTube API and Google Calendar API. Google Developers Group Goa is a Goa-based open group of members to use, learn, share and contribute to Google Technologies and in general to the world of Open Source.
The first ever Android User Group [GDG Goa AUG (GAUG)] under Google Developers Group of Goa, was established in Agnel Institute of Technology and  Design on 19th January 2017 at Seminar Hall at 10:00 am and it was inaugurated by Mr. PRAJYOT MAINKAR, Head of Google Developers Group, Goa region.

Photography Club

“Photography can only represent the present. Once photographed, the subject becomes part of the past.”

Photography is the simultaneous recognition in a Fraction of a second of the significance of an event. To photograph is to hold one’s breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It’s at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy. The photography club of Agnel Institute of Technology and Design is one of the most active clubs of our Institute. It was first inaugurated in 2017 to promote photography skills in students of the AITD college. Students of the club voluntarily come forward to capture memories of various event held at AITD. Every year, new members join the club. Members are selected on the basis of their photography skills. The purpose of this of this club is to polish the photography skills of the students. Member are provided opportunities to display their skill at various events of Institute, where they capture fleeting moments of passion, competition and joy to create memories that will be cached by the students Forever.  The photography club of AITD organises frequent workshops for the members of club by inviting leading photographers from state of Goa. Club also conducts photo walk in around AITD campus.
