AITD Institute Innovation Council in collaboration with R&D Cell organized a workshop on “Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and IP management for Startup” on 17th August 2023 from 3:00 pm onwards in Seminar Hall at AITD in offline mode. The expert talk was attended by Second- & Third-year students. The essence of the session was to demonstrate how the knowledge of intellectual property right holds importance and must be kept in mind while building a startup business. The session began with Mr. Shivakrishna, IIC member welcoming the students. He then welcomed the speaker & introduced the facilitator, Adv. Rejitha Rajan, IP Attorney. Adv. Rejitha then took over the session. She started the session with the basic definition of ‘Patent’. She explained about the patent database and paid database in patent. She also discussed the different processes while patent drafting. She beautifully explained the importance of prior arts in patent and how to search the prior arts by search engines site/tools.
