The Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam (ABSS) coinciding with the 3rd anniversary of National Education Policy 2020 was Institution Innovation Council in association with Basic Science & Humanities Department of Agnel Institute of Technology and Design organized expert talk on August 16, 2023, titled ‘Prototype Development using CNC Machine & 3-D Printers’ in Multipurpose hall, AITD. The session was attended by First year students as part of the induction programme.
The first segment covered the fundamental concepts of CNC machines and 3D printers. The facilitators explained the differences between the two technologies, their applications and the types of materials that can be used with each. The importance of effective prototype design was discussed, highlighting how prototypes aid in validating ideas, identifying design flaws and securing investor interest.
