Agnel Institute of Technology and Design (AITD) joined the Nation in celebrating the 77th Independence Day of our motherland with the theme of this year ‘Nation First, Always First’. AITD Institution Innovation Council organized an expert talk on the “Role of Engineers in Nation Building” that was a significant part of the Aazadi ka Amritkal celebrations on August 18, 2023, commemorating Independence Day celebrations in the Multipurpose Hall, G-Block at AITD. This endeavor demonstrates AITD’s commitment to equipping its community with essential knowledge for innovation, aligning seamlessly with the nation’s progress.
The expert talk was conducted by Commander Nikhil Shrivastava, an esteemed member of the Indian Navy known for his expertise and leadership. Commander Nikhil began the session by extending a warm welcome to the audience. He highlighted the crucial role engineers have played in India’s journey towards progress and emphasized that engineers are the backbone of any nation’s development. Cdr Shrivastava delivered an insightful keynote speech, drawing examples from his experiences in the Indian Navy and other engineering projects. Cdr Nikhil shared his personal journey as an engineer in the Indian Navy, discussing the challenges he faced and the milestones he achieved. His story served as an inspiration for young engineers in the audience.
