The SENCES COUNCIL of ECE Department organized a 2-Day Workshop on “Machine Learning” for the Third year students on 30th – 31st March 2023. Prof. Mrunal Sawant was the resource persons for the workshop.
The introductory session of the workshop was held in the LHE3 class, followed by hands-on session. A total of 37 students attended the workshop. The workshop aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive introduction to machine learning
concepts, techniques, and practical applications.
The Machine Learning 2-Day Workshop was designed to cater to participants with varying levels of knowledge in machine learning. The agenda included a mix of theoretical lectures, hands-on exercises, and interactive discussions to facilitate a well-rounded learning experience.
Topics Covered:
The workshop covered essential topics related to machine learning, including but not limited to:
• Introduction to Machine Learning and its applications
• Supervised Learning: Regression and Classification algorithms
• Evaluation and Validation of machine learning models
• Feature Engineering and Selection
• Practical implementation using popular machine learning frameworks and libraries
Hands-on Exercises:
Participants had the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge gained during the workshop through hands-on exercises. These exercises involved implementing machine learning algorithms, training models, and evaluating their performance using real datasets. The practical sessions were aimed at providing a better understanding of the machine learning workflow and improving participants’ coding and problem-solving skills.
