Sand Sieving Machine

The Final Year Mechanical Department students have designed and developed a machine to give pace to the small scale construction industry. Joliston Andrade, Clive Correia, Arthur Gomes, Mackinly Cunha and Stenio Viegas, under the guidance of Prof. Gaurish Walke and Prof. Prabhudev Mallapur have developed a Mechanised Sand Sieving Machine, as the final year project. The machine is so designed to reduce the time and number of labourers required for the sieving operation in an economical manner. The machine is electrically powered and requires just one labourer to operate, thus saving on the cost of labourers. It can sieve 1.7 tonnes of sand per hour. The machine is portable and can also be used at small scale construction sites, thus is a boon to the contractors.
