Agnel Institute of Technology and Design, Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with Skyfi Labs, Bangalore, organized a two-day workshop on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) from 23 rd to 24 th March 2019. Skyfi Labs is a venture started by alumni of IIT, Kanpur with the notion of bridging the gap between the conventional classroom learning and actual engineering work in industry. The students of second year, third year and final year mechanical engineering took part in the workshop. This workshop intended to give exposure to the students about the scope and essential fundamentals of CFD. The trainers for the workshop were Mr. Sankarsan Mohanty and Mr. Nikhil Sankar from Skyfi Labs. The workshop was held for two days wherein the first day was focused on the fundamentals and analytical part of the CFD. The second session of the first day dealt with practical problems on testing and analysis using AcuSolve software. On the second day, fluid flow problems were discussed in detail. The students actively participated in the workshop through hands on training in the software. In total 110 students participated in the workshop. All the participants were certified by Altair Engineering, which develops the software related to CFD. Apart from participation certificates several students were also given with distinction certificates for their outstanding performance in solving the problems during the workshop.
