On January 17, 2025, the Agnel Institute of Technology and Design, Department of Management Studies, hosted a distinguished expert talk session entitled “Empower your futures: Financial skills and career insights”. Mr. Rakeshkumar Nair, Head of Academic and Delivery, BSE Institute was the keynote speaker for the event. “Shaping Tomorrow: Opportunities and Trends in Data Science, Analytics, Cybersecurity, and Fintech in Capital Markets” was the theme introduced by speaker Mr. Nair. He provided a summary BSE, or Bombay Stock Exchange and discussed IPOs, ETFs, and equities markets, among other capital markets assets, while highlighting their importance.
Additionally, he discussed the effects of digital disruptions in business and finance, including fintech breakthroughs, data science, and predictive analytics. He went into detail about fintech developments in India,
such as blockchain acceptance, investment patterns, funding prospects, and digital payments. He emphasized the significance of methods to defend, identify, and safeguard systems and data when speaking about cybersecurity. Additionally, Mr. Nair examined data analytics and predictive analytics employment options, providing insightful information for prospective professionals. He discussed the different programs the BSE Institute offers to enhance skill development in these areas as he wrapped off his speech. The session provided students with a clear understanding of emerging trends and opportunities in the evolving capital markets.
