Cochin Field Trip 2026 for Third Year Computer Engineering Students

The Training and Placement Office (TPO) of Agnel Institute of Technology and Design (AITD), Assagao, Goa, organized a field trip to Cochin for Third Year students of all engineering branches to provide exposure to industry environments and professional practices. 42 Third Year Computer Engineering students participated in the visit accompanied by faculty members Mr. Basil Jose, Mr. Ashish Narvekar, Ms. Valerie Menezes, and Ms. Lyzandra D’Souza. The group departed from Goa on 24 February 2026, reached Cochin on 25 February 2026, and returned on 27 February 2026.

On 25 February 2026, students visited Talrop, where Mr. Roshan Robert, Associate Program Manager, introduced the organization’s vision of building a self-sustainable global innovation ecosystem that supports global ventures through infrastructure, talent development, and innovation.

On 26 February 2026, the students visited ClaySys Technologies, where Ms. Amala Jude, Senior Project Manager, explained project management practices in software companies and highlighted the importance of coordination and communication in successful project execution.

Later, the students visited QubiQon, where Mr. Pratap R, Business Head at AkumenbyQ, conducted an interactive session using Mentimeter to assess students’ readiness for the technology industry. He also explained the collaboration between AkumenbyQ and QubiQon, which focuses on developing future tech talent in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Data, and Cloud technologies.

The field trip provided valuable exposure to industry practices and helped students understand how academic knowledge connects with real-world technology environments
