The Women’s Day celebration held at AITD was attended by 90 girl students along with female staff. The Chief Guest for the event was Mrs. Pratima G. Dhond, Vice President, GCCI. She shed light challenges faced by women in Entrepreneurship, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and addressing gender-specific barriers. The Guest of Honour for the event was Adv. Vijetha Poulekar. She delivered a talk on “Indian Criminal Laws for Women”. The talk aimed to educate and empower women with knowledge about their rights and legal recourse in the face of challenges.
A fashion show was organized where participants showcase outfits inspired by influential women or historical periods significant to women’s rights. Through the imaginative portrayal of historical and contemporary female figures, participants contributed to the overarching message of honouring women’s achievements, breaking stereotypes, and promoting gender equality. The event successfully combined fun and awareness, leaving participants and attendees inspired and motivated to continue championing women’s rights.
