ROBOCLUB of AITD in association with Institute Innovation Council (IIC) had organised Training session on Building ROBO-SOCCER and ROBO-RACE bots under AICTE – Scheme for Promoting Interests, Creativity and Ethics among Students (SPICES) on 06th April 2023.

Mr. Yash Pednekar, Executive member of ROBOCLUB welcomed the participants and introduced the speakers to the participants. Mr. Valentino Fernandes President of ROBOCLUB Teaching and students member Ms. Navya Naik welcomed the speaker and his team with a Flower Bouquet. 

The main objective of the training program was

  • To provide students with the knowledge of Designing and Building ROBO-SOCCER and ROBO-RACE bots. 
  • To make them aware of general rules of the competitions and the gaming strategies for winning the competitions.

Mr. Shubham Dussane from Team Blanksbotz was invited as the speaker for the training program. The speaker with his team shared their expertise of building bots for various competitions.

The training program was divided into two sessions. In the first session the team guided the participants with the selection of components with their technical specification for building Robo-soccer bot. Whereas in the second session the team covered the Robo-race bot, general rules of the competitions and the gaming strategies for winning the competitions. The participants also had a hand-on experience of controlling the Robo-soccer and Robo-race bots by the end of the program.

Prof. Vrushali Prabhudessai and Prof. Shiva Krishna J presented a Memento as a token of appreciation to the speaker and his team. A total of 40 students attended and benefitted with the training program. The students shared the sessions has given them with valuable inputs for building the Robo-soccer and Robo-race bots and participate in their upcoming National level technical event hosted by the college.
