INVICTUS

The much-anticipated sporting event INVICTUS was held on the college ground from March 23rd to March 25th, 2023. This year marked the 10th foundation year of the college and celebrations were held with great excitement to mark the milestone. The Annual Sports Day was expanded to a three-day Sports Festival, with a lot many new events added to it.

The inaugural function began with the Guard of Honour, followed by the Flag Hoisting and the Declaration of the Opening of the Meet by the Chief Guest Rev. Fr. Domnic Alvares. This is followed by the torch relay, handed over by the College Director Fr. Agnelo Gomes and the Chief Guest to all Leading Athletes of the college. This torch represents the harmony among athletics, which contributes to the growth of sportsmanship.

After the inaugural functions, several indoor and outdoor sports activities, including chess, carrom, Table Tennis, Cricket, Futsal, Volleyball, Dodgeball, CrossFit, Tug of War, and Track events, were held following the opening festivities. All competitions showcased our students’ rising ability, and they swept the best player awards. Throughout the Event, the students were encouraged and cheered on. the students demonstrated a strong sense of discipline and skill mastery gained through months of hard work. there was a sense of Sportsmanship in the air. The atmosphere at the college was of feast and joy.

Cricket
Inter-class Cricket was played. It demonstrated the greatest level of Student participation. The matches were played with zeal. Two girls were made mandatory in playing 11, giving them the opportunity to lead the game and showcase their talent. BE Mechanical won the Cricket Championship. Shivnath Dangui was named the best player in Cricket. we finished 1st day at 7 p.m. Don Bosco 2nd year students Pranav, Sayali and Ashok served as event Officials

March 24th, 2023

Futsal
Inter-class Futsal was played. It had the finest degree of student involvement. The contests were highly competitive. Each contest lasted 15 minutes, with a 7-minute intermission in the middle.  The Futsal Championship was won by SE ECE. Mayuresh Govekar was named the finest Futsal player. Both second-year Don Bosco students, Pranav and Ashok assisted as event officials.
Tie Breaker for GirlsTie Breaker for Girls
Inter-class Tie Breaker for Girls was played. It was mandatory for two girls from each section to strike the ball. The competitions were extremely inspiring and entertaining. The girls were allowed three chances to score the goal.  FE Mech won the Tie Breaker Championship. The greatest performer was Krupa Shirodkar. Both second-year Don Bosco students, Pranav and Ashok assisted as event officials.
Volleyball
Inter-class Volleyball was played. It was required to engage one female student in every game. The contests were highly enjoyable.  The Volleyball Championship was won by BE Mech. Pranay Sawant was the best Player. 2nd-year B.P.ED students Kritik Sayali Ashwarya And Aniksha remained as functional coordinators.
Cross Fit
In the afternoon, 45 boys and 16 girls competed in the Open Fitness Challenge Cross Fit. This was a very difficult event that required strong fitness and a lot of motivation. For this occasion, a tyre theme was used. Tanvesh Kavlekar placed first in the boy’s category, and Mitcha Fernandes placed first in the female’s category. The event was completely initiated by Director of Physical Education and Sports Ashish Naik, with help from all B.P.ED students. we finished 2nd day at 7 p.m.
Dodgeball

Inter-class Dodgeball was Played. It had the highest level of student participation. The competitions were exciting and fierce. In order to make a team, two females have been made mandatory.  BE ECE won the Dodgeball Championship. Vighnesh Ghatwal was named the best Dodgeball Player Mr. Sylvester and Kritik served as championship officials.

Chess and Carrom
Chess and carrom was played between classes. Any 1 student from the class could participate.  The Championship was won by the SE Comp and the BE Comp, respectively. Dinesh and Brijesh finished first in their individual championships.
Table Tennis
Inter-class Table Tennis was Played. The contests were thrilling and skilled. One female student has been made necessary in order to form a squad.  The Table Tennis Championship was won by BE Mech. Saad Habeeb was named the Best Table Tennis Player.  2nd-year B.P.ED students Kritik, Sayali, Ashwarya, And Aniksha remained as functional coordinators.
Tug Of War
There was an inter-class tug of war. The contests were thrilling and intense. Two female students have been made necessary in order to form a squad.  BE Mech triumphed in the Tug of War Championship. Yatish Poll was deemed the greatest Tug of War Player.   2nd-year B.P.ED students Pranav, Ashok, Kritik, Sayali, Ashwarya, And Aniksha remained as functional coordinators.
50-meter dash & Clap Rela
There was a 50-meter dash between classes for both men and women. The competitions were exciting and fierce. Niraj Naik Se Comp and Mitcha Fernandes BE Comp finished first respectively. Pranav, Ashok, Kritik, Sayali, Ashwarya, and Aniksha, second-year B.P.ED students, stayed as functional supervisors.

Between classes, there was a 50 × 4 relay. The contests were thrilling and intense. In order to compete in the relay, one female was made mandatory. BE Mech took the title. Second-year B.P.ED students Pranav, Ashok, Kritik, Sayali, Ashwarya, and Aniksha remained as functional mentors.

The Annual Sports Day produces an environment that is so overpowering, gratifying, and fruitful that it encourages us to keep this attitude going and take sports to new heights.

The Day concluded with loud applause during the award distribution, which was conducted by the Principal Dr. J. William and Registrar of College Prof. Laxmikant Bordekar. Mr. Ashish Naik, College Director of Physical Education and Sports, who leads the Sports Department and directly led the students in their planning, gave a vote of thanks at the conclusion of the event. The evening concluded on a high note, with the students’ expressions filled with achievement and satisfaction.
