Institution Innovation Council (IIC), Agnel Institute of Technology and Design organized an expert session on November 24, 2022, titled ‘ Rural Entrepreneurship ‘. The resource person of the session was Ms. Vimi Salgaonkar, Project Associate, MGNCRE, Ministry of Higher Education, GOI.
Ms. Vimi, introduced the students with the concept of rural entrepreneurship. She then differentiated between entrepreneurship and rural entrepreneurship with the help of videos. She then told the students to identify some of the rural potential for a business idea and encouraged the students in developing skills to convert the idea into a commercially viable business concept. Students actively participated in interactive discussions, sharing their perspectives and ideas. Case studies of successful rural businesses were presented by the resource person to showcase real-life examples and strategies for success. The session was attended by Second & Third year Mechanical Engineering & Third year Computer Engineering students.
