On the 3rd of November 2017, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) held an event “Education-Industry Connect through project works of Engineering Students of Goa” so that students from the current Final Year batch could display their ideas and innovations on solutions that could help both the common man and the industry. There were 41 projects that were shortlisted out of 120 projects across all 5 Goan Engineering colleges. The students of AITD were awarded the Second place at this project presentation competition. The project title was “Object Identification and Quality Testing Using Machine Learning” and the team of students consisted of Elanton Fernandes, Heramb Bandekar, Ashutosh Harmalkar and Bradwel Pinto. The projects were judged by a panel of technical experts and industrialists based on the innovation content in the idea, its application, feasibility and other parameters.
