Inauguration of IET Student Chapter (2021-2022) held at AITD

Computer Engineering Department of Agnel Institute of Technology & Design (AITD) installed the Students Committeeof IET Student Chapter for the academic year 2021-2022 on 10th December 2021 from 3.30 PM to 5.00PM.

The Chief Guest for the inaugural function was one of the esteemed Alumni of AITD, Ms. Sneha Kamat, Senior Software Engineer, Persistent Systems Ltd, Goa.

Mr. Sagar Naik, IET-AITD Coordinator welcomed the gathering and briefed the audience about the Student Chapter activities. Chief Guest for the function, Ms. Sneha Kamat, handed over the appointment orders to newly appointed In-charges of various committees. The inaugural function was followed by a session by Sneha Kamat on “Careers In S/W Industry & Interview Approach” in which she highlighted various career opportunities that can be considered by students after graduation from Computer Engineering. Ms. Sneha also briefed the students about various aspects to be considered when preparing for the interviews. She also stressed on few of the core computer science domains which are widely being used in software industries. The event was attended by a total of 60 students.  

The names of the appointed IET Student Chapter Committee Members for the Academic Year 2021-2022 are as follows:

  1. Ms. Lizanne Fernandes is appointed as the Chairperson.  
  2. Ms. Savitha Jamdarkhani is appointed as the Secretary.
  3. Mr. Lionel De Souza is appointed as the Technical Committee In-Charge.
  4. Mr. Ganadhish Navelkar is appointed as the Organizing Committee In-Charge.
  5. Ms. Rachel Carvalho appointed as the Compere In-Charge
  6.  Ms. Merlyn Joseph is appointed as the Alumni Committee In-Charge.
  7. Ms. Saniya Mulla is appointed as the Accounts CommitteeIn-Charge.
  8. Mr. Anish Kulkarni is appointed as the Media & PR CommitteeIn-Charge.

Prof. Sagar Naik, IET-AITD Coordinator, proposed the vote of thanks in which he also presented the brief report of all the events that AITD has conducted in association with IET since 2017. The event was coordinated by Prof. Sagar Naik.
