The Students Executive Council for the academic year 2020-2021 under ACCESS (Association for Confluence of Computer Engineering Students & Senators) was installed by the Department of Computer Engineering of AITD-Assagao on 19th September 2020.
Ms. Lizanne Fernandes welcomed the chief guest, dignitaries, and the participants of the function. The Chief Guest for the function was Mr. Dinesh Tavasalkar, Technical Trainer and online instructor, and an author. He has conducted more than 100+ trainings on technologies related to robotics, Android app development, IoT, Game development, Virtual Reality, and Augmented Reality. He is also an author of a book called Hands on Robotics Programming using C++.
The dignitaries for the function were Prof. Snehal Bhogan, Head of Department and ACCESS President, Prof. Ashish Narvekar-ACCESS Coordinator, Prof. Kedar Sawant-ACCESS Coordinator, Mr. Tresnor Menezes-Outgoing ACCESS Student Chairperson, Mr. Rahil Keni- new ACCESS Chairperson and Ms. Leeann Albuquerque- new General Secretary.
The function began by recital of prayer by Mr. Pranav Marathe – student of final year of Computer Engineering. The Head of Computer Engineering Department and President of ACCESS, Prof. Snehal Bhogan then addressed the function by stating the importance of students council and the role of the same and wished the students to have a very useful and a wonderful year full of activities ahead. The outgoing chairperson of ACCESS Mr. Tresnor Menezes presented the report of activities conducted by ACCESS during the academic year 2019-2020. The staff coordinator of ACCESS Prof. Ashish Narvekar introduced the members of the executive council of ACCESS for the academic year 2020-2021. The newly appointed chairperson of ACCESS Mr. Rahil Keni addressed the function and also affirmed to carry out activities during the academic year 2020-2021 and make it a grand success.
Mr. Dinesh Tavasalkar then addressed the gathering with his valuable words about the activities that can be carried out by a student council and gave an insight of the various cutting-edge technologies that the students should learn in order to be competent in this era of technology.
Ms. Leeann Albuquerque- General secretary of ACCESS 2020-2021 proposed the vote of thanks.
The function was conducted in online mode via Google meet.
