Dr. Vilas has been a practice leader in risk and business management, insurance, strategy and environment for the last 30 years. He has worked in India as well as overseas for ICICI Lombard, Reliance, Chola Mitsui, Aon, Mahindra Group and Arthur J Gallagher. The unique combination of techno-commercial acumen; has advised /trained over 1000 large and medium businesses across Europe /US Gulf and India in areas of strategy, corporate risk management, underwriting and technical advisory to drive profitable growth- for manufacturing sectors, particularly infrastructure - roads/railways/hydro/energy/metro projects besides other sectors such as retail, service sector, healthcare, logistics, ports & terminals, energy and power sector. Regular trainer for the National Productivity Council. Experience in leading teams with varied capabilities. Alumnus of the City University of London, IIM-A, Symbiosis and Goa University, Gold medalist in the Associate exam of III, qualified as Master of Industrial Engineering, MBA, MSc Insurance and Risk management, LLB, BE Mechanical. He has published/presented several research papers globally in peer-reviewed: ABDC and Scopus Journal and is an Editor of an international research journal.
