Farewell for Final Year Electronics and Communications Engineering students (Batch 2017-2021) of Agnel Institute of Technology and Design was held on Thursday, 3rd September 2021. The event was coordinated by Prof. Pramila Volvoikar and Prof. Vijaya Hadfadkar.
The farewell programme was conducted in online mode through Google meet platform. The programme commenced at 2.00 pm. The AITD staff members were present to welcome the 2017-21 batch. The programme commenced with Prof. Pramila Volvoikar and Prof. Vijaya Hadfadkar providing the welcome note. Initially Rev.Fr. Agnelo Gomes addressed the students and congratulated the graduating batch and gave them blessings. It was followed by Rev. Fr. Issac Fernandes, who advised students to always help others and wished them to achieve heights in career. Programme was then followed by address by the principal Dr. V. Mariappan, where he congratulated and wished the students all the best to achieve success in their future.
Dr. J. William, Head of Electronics and Communications Engineering Department welcomed the students of Batch 2017-21. He addressed the students with his encouraging words of wisdom and congratulated them for their wonderful academic and placement achievements. Prof. Laxmikant Bordekar, Registrar, AITD recollected all the memories with students of the batch 2016-20. He praised them for their dedication showed throughout their student life in AITD. He encouraged students to always face challenges in professional and personal life with positive attitude. He also assured students that their Alma Mater will be always ready to extend any help in future.
A short 12 minutes beautiful memory-lane video of students was presented which made everyone to time-travel back to their journey in AITD from being freshers in the campus to being an Engineer and cherished their memories spent in AITD in last 4 years. Video was created by Mr. Sadanand Gavde. This was followed by video testimonials by Mr. Jude Sequeira, Mr. Gerson Dias and Ms. Gayatri Joshi, in which they expressed their experience at AITD.
As part of entertainment program, interactive games were held. A small quiz based on college, movies, company logos, and sports was organized for students. This was hosted by Prof. Pramila Volvoikar. It was amazing to see students full participation in this game show.
Thereafter, the faculty members of Electronics and Communication engineering department shared their experience, congratulated everyone. They wished the students good luck for their bright future. Mr. Aldair Fernandes dedicated a beautiful song for all the batchmates and faculty members of AITD. The other students also shared their views and experience at AITD thus reminiscing the college life and thanked AITD for organizing such a beautiful online farewell session and also for providing all the support for shaping their career to achieve all the success.
As a memento, all the students were presented with a poster with farewell messages and wishes by the entire AITD family along with group photo of their class and of entire batch of 2017-2021, AITD. This was sent to them via email with best wishes for their future. The program concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Prof. Vijaya Hadfadkar.
