The Inter College level ideation competition “THINK 2019” was organised by ECE department of Agnel Institute of Technology And Design (AITD), Assagao in association with Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers(IETE) , sponsored by Centre of Incubation for Business Aceeleration (CIBA) and co sponsored by Svastek- Margao ,took place in the college premises on 30th August 2019 in the presence of Mr. Anil Raiker, Ex. Scientist Phillips India, Mr. Anish Souza – CEO Sun 360 & Mr. Sanjay Mulvi , Seed Manager CIBA who were also the jury members for judging the participants, Prof Laxmikant Bordekar- Registrar AITD, Dr. J William HOD of ECE department, teaching staff and students. Mr. Anil Raiker delivered a keynote address on the topic “Trends in Electronics and opportunities for young engineers”.
“THINK 2019” is the very first one of a kind idea presentation competition where one can display their creativity and knowledge along with winning the audiences and judges with their entrepreneurship skills. Each team was given 10 minutes to present their ideas. The ideas were judged based on various criterias like Innovation, originality, feasibility, sustainability etc. 15 teams from various Engineering colleges in Goa participated and presented path breaking ideas which have the potential to be the next big inventions in the field of Engineering & Technology. Industry experts appreciated the concept of THINK 2019 and said that many such events must take place in the future to get the best out of todays youth who are full of such innovative ideas.
The winning idea of THINK 2019 was “An application for visually impaired using google cloud API” presented by Ms. Gauravi Kamat & Ms. Nikita Sawant from PCCE, verna and the runner was “LOTSE – A traffic controller” Mr. Hrishikesh Bhandare & Sanket Marathe. The event was coordinated by ISF coordinators Mr. Harish Velingkar and Mrs. Chaitali Karekar.
