Agnel Institute of Technology and Design (AITD) was started in the year 2012, by Fr. Agnel Charities. Our college is located in the serene, lush green atmosphere of Mapusa – Anjuna road, in Goa. The college has obtained approval from AICTE and is af iliated to Goa University to offer and run Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering and Computer Engineering programmes with a sanctioned intake of sixty each. The institution has high quality infrastructure and well equipped laboratories. It frequently organizes Workshops, FDPs and Seminars on advanced technical topics for the enhancement of the faculty and students. The Institute houses CIBA with a versatility to cater to the needs in the core engineering ield. Hence, this college emerges with a unique objective of encouraging research and promoting innovation and creativity in all its undergraduate programs. The Campus sprawls across twelve acres of green, peaceful, serene and pollution free environment and it is the irst higher educational technical institute in North Goa. The facilities provided in the campus includes a Central Library with books for Engineering as required and recommended by Goa University curriculum in adequate number has been provided in an area of 400sq.m, a Computing facility has been set up with dedicated lease lines, Campus is a Wi-Fi enabled where students can access internet at any location in the institute, Pre Placement Training, Placements in Top Notch Companies,Industry / Research Experience, Guest lectures by experts from Industry, Indoor and Outdoor Games which has a dedicated sports room.
The department of Mechanical Engg. has been established since the inception of the institution in the year 2012. The department offers UG course with an intake of 60 students. The department has good infrastructure facilities and is equipped with full-fledged laboratories to fulfil the curriculum needs. The department is having experienced faculty. The department has its own library and computing facilities to carryout various purposes like project works, seminars, workshops, software simulations etc. The department has formed ISHRAE, SAE and ROBOCLUB student chapters for the benefit of students and faculty by conducting technical conferences, workshops, FDPs and guest lectures. The department has conducted several workshops, seminars and also ISTE approved STTPs.
